Turkish Lounge

An intimate gathering space inspired by the tradition of the Turkish salon — rich textiles, warm light, and the art of conversation.

Turkish Lounge

Mission

To revive the ancient art of the gathering room — creating a space where beauty, warmth, and deep conversation come together in sacred intimacy.

The Vision

The Turkish Lounge at Castillo del Sol is a space dedicated to the ancient art of gathering — a room where the richness of Ottoman design tradition meets the warmth of Mediterranean hospitality. Deeply tufted furnishings, intricate textile work, warm ambient lighting, and layered textures create an atmosphere that invites conversation, contemplation, and connection.

Inspired by the great salons and gathering rooms of Istanbul, this space is designed as an inner sanctum — a place to retreat from the world and enter into deeper dialogue with oneself and others. The color palette is drawn from the earth: warm ochre, deep burgundy, burnished gold, and shadowed bronze.

Every element — from the carved wood details to the handwoven textiles — is sourced and placed with reverence for the tradition it honors and the new context it inhabits.

What it includes

Complete interior design inspired by Ottoman salon tradition. Custom upholstered seating and handwoven textiles. Artisan lighting and decorative metalwork. Material sourcing from traditional craft markets. Full 3D visualization and construction management.

Why it matters

The gathering rooms of the Ottoman tradition were not merely places to sit — they were theaters of the soul, where poetry, philosophy, and connection unfolded in an atmosphere of beauty. This project revives that tradition, creating a space within Castillo del Sol where the art of being together is elevated to its highest form.
