The Gate of Awakening

The Gate of Awakening stained glass mandala with eagles, cat eyes and blue lotus

Originating from the center, the central circle represents the expanding creative mind. Rendered in a transparent form, it symbolizes the unity of the whole, eternity, and the infinite cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. This core is interwoven with the ancient Egyptian symbol of the Ouroboros, which embodies the unity of all things: nothing has a beginning or an end.

It represents a self-sustaining nature that eternally regenerates itself, reflecting the continuous cycle of creation and destruction that expands toward the four cardinal directions.

Surrounding the center, twenty circles border it, representing the preparation and patience required for spiritual development, understood as different facets of a single inner process.

At the four extremities appears the eagle, guarding the Egyptian cat eye — a symbol associated with the cleansing of negative energies and with clairvoyance, linked to the sixth chakra or third eye. The green color reinforces its connection to healing, balance, and renewal.

In the outermost circle, the blue lotus — also known as the Egyptian lotus — manifests itself, one of the most sacred plants in history. Revered for its ability to elevate consciousness and connect with the divine, it symbolizes the cycle of the sun and eternal life, as well as the triumph of spirit and intelligence over worldly desires and physical senses.

By day, this skylight fills the central hall with radiant natural light, casting a dance of colors throughout the space. By night, it becomes a luminous jewel, illuminating the path for all who enter.

The Flower of Joy

The Flower of Joy stained glass mandala in orange, green and blue

Six petals of the flower of joy emerge like an ancient secret, and in their unfolding they become twelve, as though what is essential could not remain contained.

The number six represents the need to create a home, nurture relationships, and find inner peace — often taking the form of a caregiver or healer who seeks beauty in nature, yet it is also a silent calling that only a few are able to hear.

At its center, evoking a sun that not only illuminates but also shelters a hidden origin, it extends into six realms where the soul blossoms, like a heart that offers love, life, and color.

And perhaps therein lies the enigma: that everything born from the depths does not merely grow — it inevitably transforms.

As sunlight pours through the skylight, the hallway comes alive with radiant color, turning simple transitions into daily rituals of light and beauty.

The Mother Earth

The Mother Earth stained glass design with the four elements and botanical motifs

The design is based on a square, a form that symbolizes the earth and all that belongs to it. Within it, a continuous band interweaves, representing the eternal process of nature's regeneration and alluding to the unceasing cycle of life, death, and rebirth.

The square is framed by twelve dates, symbolizing the twelve months of the year and their correspondence with the four seasons, reflecting the cyclical order of time and its relationship to the earth's fertility.

Along the sides, the four fundamental elements are represented: fire, water, earth, and air. These are joined by the fifth element, the ether, symbolized through white triangles and the center of the square, as a unifying principle and subtle essence that integrates and gives meaning to the other elements.

As knowledge found one of its great origins in Egypt, the design incorporates references to this culture through the papyrus plant — an essential medium for the written transmission of knowledge — and the pomegranate, a fruit of the earth that symbolizes abundance and fertility.
